Privacy Policy
How MyNetwork collects, uses, and protects information about members of the platform.
Overview
MyNetwork is a professional home base for independent mental health practitioners. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect when you use the platform, how we use it, and the choices you have. By using MyNetwork you agree to the practices described here.
We are not a covered entity under HIPAA, and the platform is not designed to receive Protected Health Information (PHI). Members must not submit patient identifiers, clinical detail tied to an identifiable patient, or other PHI through the platform.
Information we collect
Account information you provide when you sign up or claim a member shell — including your name, email address, professional credentials, license details, practice location, areas of focus, and any biographical or profile content you choose to share.
Authentication information handled by our auth provider (InstantDB), including the email address tied to your account and OAuth identifiers from providers you choose to sign in with (such as Google).
Content you create on the platform — connections, endorsements, referrals, fit-checks, notifications, onboarding responses, and any messages, scripts, or other text you submit.
Usage and device information collected automatically as you use the platform, including pages viewed, actions taken, timestamps, IP address, browser type, and approximate location derived from your IP.
How we use information
To operate the platform: authenticate you, link your auth identity to your member profile, surface relevant colleagues, route referrals, send notifications, and provide the features you request.
To improve the product, debug issues, monitor performance and security, and develop new features.
To communicate with you about your account, transactional events, product updates, and — where you have opted in — marketing or community communications.
To comply with legal obligations, enforce our terms, and protect the rights, safety, and property of MyNetwork, our members, and the public.
How information is shared
With other members on the platform, in accordance with the visibility settings of each surface (for example, your public profile is visible to other authenticated members; certain fields can be restricted further in your settings).
With service providers that help us run the platform — including our database and auth provider (InstantDB), hosting and deployment infrastructure (Vercel), and analytics tooling — under contractual confidentiality and security obligations.
When required by law, subpoena, or other legal process, or when we believe in good faith that disclosure is necessary to protect our rights or the safety of others.
In connection with a merger, acquisition, financing, or sale of assets, subject to standard confidentiality protections.
We do not sell your personal information.
Referrals and patient information
Referrals exchanged on MyNetwork must not contain patient identifiers or PHI. Use non-identifying descriptors only (for example, presenting concerns, modality preferences, scheduling constraints).
If you believe PHI has been submitted in error, contact us promptly so we can remove it.
Your choices
You can review and update most profile information from your settings. You can request deletion of your account by contacting us; certain records may be retained where required for legal, security, or operational reasons.
You can manage notification preferences in settings. Browser and device-level controls (such as cookie settings) also apply.
Data retention
We retain account and content data for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the platform. We may retain limited information after account closure to comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce agreements.
Security
We use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect information on the platform, including encryption in transit, access controls, and audit logging. No system is perfectly secure; please use a strong, unique password and notify us if you believe your account has been compromised.
Children
MyNetwork is intended for use by licensed mental health professionals and is not directed to children under 16. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the “last updated” date at the top of the page and, for material changes, provide additional notice through the platform or by email.
